As the Church Gathered at Shrub Oak, we four thousand families and singles, of all ages, backgrounds and stages of development, residing in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties, are one of the 414 Catholic parishes in the 10 counties of the Archdiocese of New York. We have responded to the summons of the Savior by choosing to intertwine our lives with Christ and with each other, as the first American Catholic parish, graced with the name of Elizabeth Ann (Bayley) Seton, the first American-born saint and a New Yorker. Pastor's Welcome
We try to accommodate people of all ages, backgrounds, circumstances and points of view in a creative, faithful, Catholic environment of Christian worship, education, service, outreach, love and responsibility. As baptized men, women and children, and committed stewards of the gospel, the charity of Christ compels us (2 Corinthians 5:14). We are proud to be the humble instruments of God’s peace. It is my pleasure to invite you to peruse the pages of our site. There are many opportunities for growth and service in our parish family. Your participation can only make a fine community better and more effective. “Point and click away” to your heart's content and do make it a point to join us for the celebration of the Eucharist and the warm fellowship that makes Seton Seton. If you have questions or suggestions about the parish, you may contact us at seton@bestweb.net Serve God and be merry! The Charity of Christ Compels Us...Webmaster Email: seton.website@yahoo.com |
