Why Parents Choose Seton School

Mission Statement:

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School faculty and students strive to find God in ourselves and recognize Him in others. We will be respectful and kind; we will develop our gifts of mind and body; we will contribute to the good of others; we will realize that we are children of God.

Philosophy:

Every child is a gift from God. The Catholic school has the unique opportunity of providing for the education of the whole child. As a Catholic community, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton provides an environment for the spiritual, moral, intellectual, creative, emotional, social and physical development of each child.

Catholic educators, in partnership with the parents as the primary teachers, have the privilege and responsibility of educating the children. Our school offers the advantage of providing an education that further nurtures, supports and complements the work of parents.

In order to accomplish this, we will:

  1. Proclaim the message of salvation, and through example, guide each child to develop a relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  2. Enkindle in each child a realization of his/her own self-worth as a person made in the image and likeness of God.
  3. Instill in them the spirit of Christian charity, tolerance, compassion and forgiveness.
  4. Recognize and meet each child's corporal and spiritual needs, emphasizing their responsibility to meet the spiritual and corporal needs of others.
  5. Encourage each child to think, decide and act in accordance with Christian values.
  6. Provide the child with the knowledge, skills, values and meaningful experiences that will prepare him/her for everyday Christian living.
  7. Encourage a commitment to a life of responsibility, service and respect for themselves, their families and their community.
