Visit Our Lady Memorial Chapel and see our new icon of The Divine Mercy. The image is on canvas and comes to us from the Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy
in Kraków, Poland by arrangement of Father Martin. This is the exact image over the tomb of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska. Since the image is that of the Resurrected Christ, it complements the account of the death of the Lord depicted in the chapel’s sculpture.
From the Dairy of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska:
"The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous; the red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls. These two rays issued forth from the depths of My most tender Mercy at that time when My agonizing Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross....Fortunate is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him."
